Last Friday of the Month 5k
The Last Friday of the Month 5k is a monthly organised race in Hyde Park run by volunteers from Serpentine Running and Triathlon Club. The event is contested over a two-lap course of 5 km with the start and finish at The Boathouse on the northern side of the Serpentine lake.
Entry is by online registration only; Royal Parks rules prevent on-the-day entries. Races usually sell out about one week before race day. The entry fee is £7.00 for runners registered with England Athletics through any club and £9.00 for unaffiliated entrants. The Club’s policy is not to refund money except in exceptional circumstances at committee discretion.
The race is held under UK Athletics rules and uses England Athletics Licence number 29177. Certificate of Course Accuracy number 16/201 applies. Minimum age is 11 years. There is a 35 minute cut off after which the course will not be marshalled and results will not be recorded. For safety, runners should not wear headphones so they can hear marshals.
There are no changing or shower facilities. Public toilets are available near the Bandstand about 500 m from the start and accept card payments only. Personal belongings may be left near the start at the owner’s risk; participants are advised to label and waterproof items.
