Event

The Beat The Sunset 50km ultramarathon takes place on Saturday 30 May 2026 in Maidenhead at Summerleaze Park / NMCC Sports Club (SL6 8SP). The event distance is 50 km with total elevation around 235 m. The course is a single lap and is marked. Terrain is listed as about 75% off road. The race entry fee is shown as £63–£65 and entries close on 24 May unless capacity is reached earlier. The race cut-off is 9 hours 12 minutes.

Course and services

The route is described as flat and includes the Thames Path, Jubilee River and the Green Way. A GPX file will be made available one week before the event. There are 4 checkpoints at approximately 10 km intervals; checkpoints will offer cola, water and sweet and savoury snacks. Personal nutrition drops are available and can be taken to the 3rd and 4th checkpoints. The event uses chip timing and offers free live tracking. Included for finishers and participants are a medal, mementoes, free downloadable race photos, prizes, feed stations, toilets, medical backup and pre- and post-event massage. An onsite bar is located at the sports club next to the finish area. Mandatory kit includes a fully charged phone, foil blanket and a full 500 ml fluid container.
