Event

Beat The Sunset 50km is an ultramarathon taking place on Saturday 30 May 2026 in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The event is a single-lap 50 km race starting and finishing at the sports club near Summerleaze Park (NMCC Sports Club, Summerleaze Road, SL6 8SP). Entry fees are listed at £63–£65 and entries close on 24 May 2026 unless capacity is reached earlier. The race is organised by Racing Line Running.

Course and services

The route is a flat, multi-terrain course with about 75% off-road running and total elevation of 235 m. The single lap follows paths including the Thames Path, the Jubilee River and the Green Way. The course is fully signed and a GPX file will be provided about one week before the event.

There are 4 checkpoints at approximately 10 km intervals. Checkpoints stock cola, water and sweet and savoury snacks. Personal nutrition drops are available and can be taken to the 3rd and 4th checkpoints. The event uses chip timing with free live tracking. Included on the day are a medal, mementoes, downloadable race photos, prizes, toilets, feed stations and medical backup. Massage is offered before and after the race. Mandatory kit listed includes a fully charged phone, a foil blanket and a full 500 ml fluid vessel; recommended kit includes a waterproof jacket, a cup, a method of payment and the course map.
