The Dashing Dog Charity Run
The Dashing Dog Charity Run is a time challenge event held along the River Thames in Staines-upon-Thames. Participants have a 7-hour time limit to complete as many laps as they choose. The course is situated primarily on tarmac and well-made paths with a very short grass section. The route is fully signed and follows a scenic stretch of the river.
The event operates on a lap-based system. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7 km), though this may be adjusted to a 3.28-mile loop depending on course conditions. Markers are placed at 3 km and 5 km points within the lap to accommodate younger runners or those seeking shorter distances. Participants are recognized as official finishers upon completing a minimum of 3 km.

- Ultra Marathon (7 or more laps)
The event serves as a fundraiser for local dog rehoming centres. A portion of every entry fee is donated to these charities, with additional optional donation tiers available. An aid station at the start and finish of each lap provides water, sweet and savoury snacks, and vegan options. All finishers receive a themed medal, and those completing a half marathon or further are eligible for specific distance pins.
