Event details
The event is a 7-hour time challenge held on Sunday 22 March 2026 in Staines, at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, TW18 4SU. Maximum entries are 300 and entries close on 21/03/2026. Minimum age to enter is 12 years. Transfers are permitted online for a fee up to the day before the event; a later deferral to another event is available for a fee.
Distances and course
The minimum distance is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (about 7 km), with a possible change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The course follows the River Thames, is fully signed, mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable. Marked 3 km and 5 km turn points are provided. Laps required: 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, 7 or more for an ultra. A 50 km option is available. Anyone running over 45 km must be 20 years or older; 18- and 19-year-olds may run up to 45 km.
Facilities, kit and extras
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal. Distance pins are awarded from half-marathon distance and above. There is a goody bag with a vegan option. An aid and drinks table is available at the start/finish each lap with a range of snacks and vegan choices. Toilets and changing facilities are at the venue HQ. Parking is available in Bridge Street Car Park, Staines (TW18 4TP). Headphones are allowed and runners should be considerate of other path users.
Charity and fees
A £2 surcharge on each entry is donated to local dog rehoming charities. An optional £3 pin donation is matched by the organiser, so the charity receives £6 for each pin purchase.
