SATURN - GNR & Time Turner 2026 - Durham
This is a 7 hour timed running event held at Durham Amateur Rowing Club on a signed trail course along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. Runners choose how many laps to complete; the minimum distance to be classed as a finisher is 3 km.
Distances and lap notes:
- Minimum distance 3 km.
- Full lap typically 7 km or 4.37 miles, may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
- 3 km and 5 km turn points are provided inside the lap.
- Half marathon equals 3 laps, marathon equals 6 laps, ultra equals 7 laps or more.
- A 50 km distance is available.
The event provides a finishing medal for anyone completing at least 3 km and distance pins for half marathon, mega half, marathon, 50 km and ultra achievements. Finishers receive a goody bag and a vegan goody bag option is available. An aid table and drinks are located at the start and finish of each lap with a selection of sweet and savory items and vegan options.
Facilities include toilets and changing areas. A bag drop is provided but is unstaffed and left at participants' responsibility. Nearby parking is available on street or at city centre pay and display. Headphones are allowed. Entry limits and rules include a maximum of 300 entrants, minimum age 12, and age limits for distances over 45 km. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
