Event Details

The Saskia Says Beginner Triathlon Event is a sprint-distance triathlon held at the Saanich Commonwealth Pool in Victoria, British Columbia.

Distances

  • 500m pool swim
  • 20km road bike
  • 4km road run

Course and Practical Information

The swim takes place in a 25-meter pool, with athletes organized into heats based on their estimated swim time. Both transitions (T1 and T2) are located in a single zone in the south parking lot of the pool. Helmets must be on and fastened before exiting this transition area.

Non-members of Triathlon BC must purchase day-of-race insurance. Parking on-site is very limited. Maps for the bike and run courses are available. The event is non-refundable and no transfers are allowed.

Fundraising

The event supports the Saanich Fire Fighters' Charitable Foundation and End2end Childhood cancer support. Participants can set up a fundraising page when registering, and the athlete who raises the most money wins a prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
