SARR Labor Day Whine Run
The San Antonio RoadRunners present the Labor Day Whine Run in San Antonio, Texas. This annual event takes place in early September and offers participants a choice between two distances. The event is held at the Tuscany Venue and includes several activities for participants following the completion of the courses.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 Miles
- 5 km
The event features a post-race gathering with a live DJ, food, and refreshments. Every runner registered for the in-person event receives a commemorative wine glass, as there are no traditional finisher medals for this race. Participants over the age of 21 are eligible for two wine pours while supplies last. Both the 5 km and 5-Mile events are chip-timed, and an awards ceremony is held shortly after the main events. Strollers are permitted on the course but are required to start at the back of the group.
A virtual option is available for both the 5 km and 5-Mile distances. Virtual participants can complete their run or walk at any location and pace, with the option to submit their own results online. While virtual runners receive a shirt and bib, those who wish to receive the glass must pick up their packet in person, as the wine glass is not eligible for shipping.
Registration discounts are available for San Antonio RoadRunner members, active-duty military personnel, and runners aged 24 and younger or 70 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
