Event Overview
The Sardis Annual Community 5K is a road running event held in Athens, Georgia. The course is situated entirely within Sandy Creek Park, utilizing paved roads for the duration of the race. The event is organized by the Sardis Classical Christian Community and is part of the Black Bag Race Series. Timing and finish line management are handled by Classic Race Services.

The race takes place at 400 Bob Holman Road. Participants follow a mapped route through the park grounds. Awards are historically presented to overall male and female winners, masters categories, and the top three finishers in ten-year age groups ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over.
For the 2026 calendar year, the organizers have announced the cancellation of the event. Individuals who had already registered for the race will be contacted via email regarding the cancellation.
