2026 Sarcoma Strong Run/Walk 5K - Capital District
The Sarcoma Strong Run/Walk is scheduled as part of a series of in-person and virtual 5K events taking place in 2026 at various locations. Virtual participation runs Friday through Sunday, August 14-16, 2026, and allows participants to take part from any location.
The Capital District in-person event is set for Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Saratoga State Park on the lawn by the Hall of Springs. Registration pricing for the Capital District increases on June 8 to $35, with a further increase to $40 on race day. T-shirts will be provided for the first 300 registrants at the Capital District in-person event.
Proceeds from the events are used to fund sarcoma research. A free entry option is available through the code APPRECIATION at checkout for those experiencing financial hardship. The registration system supports team participation: the first registrant creates a team and becomes the team captain, selects a team password, and subsequent members join by entering that password. The system includes pre-populated teams for centers not local to Albany; new teams may also be created.
