Event overview
The Sarcoma Strong Run/Walk 5K is a series of in-person and virtual events held in 2026 at multiple locations. Proceeds are used to fund sarcoma research. A virtual participation option runs Friday through Sunday, August 14 to 16, 2026 and can be completed from any location.
In-person events are scheduled at several sites with dates that vary by city. Examples include San Francisco at Mariposa Park/UCSF Mission Bay Hospital, Denver at Sloan’s Lake Park, Boston at Jamaica Pond (meet at the boathouse), Baltimore, Collingswood NJ, El Paso at Shawver Park, and the Capital District in New York. The Capital District event is set for Saturday, August 15 at Saratoga State Park, lawn by the Hall of Springs, with a price increase on June 8 to $35 and $40 on race day. T-shirts are available for the first 300 registrants at the Capital District in-person event.
Registration options include a free entry code APPRECIATION for those with financial hardship. Team participation is supported: the first team registrant becomes the captain, creates the team and a password, and additional members join by entering that password. The registration system may include pre-populated teams for centers not local to Albany, and new teams can be created if needed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
