Saratoga Winterfest 5K Snowshoe Race
The Saratoga Winterfest 5K Snowshoe Race is the 27th edition held at Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, NY on February 1, 2026. The event welcomes both snowshoe hikers and runners and is organized by the Saratoga Stryders.
Day-of registration is available outside the Roosevelt II building; race registration increases by $5 on race day and is cash or check only. Online registration closes January 31, 2026. Participants who pick up a bib may receive an optional previous year's gray long-sleeved wicking tee while supplies last; only one shirt is provided for bundle registrations.
Participants are expected to race with snowshoes that provide at least 120 sq. in. of functional surface area; all adult models meeting that specification are allowed. A limited number of loaner snowshoes are available for a $10 rental fee payable the day of the event; entrants should contact the race director early to reserve loaners. Rentals are provided by DION-NeviTREK SNOWSHOES.
If there is no snow, the event will likely be run as a trail race and may require ice traction devices underfoot. There are no refunds. Results are managed by Underdog Race Timing.
