Camp Saratoga 8K Snowshoe Race
The Camp Saratoga 8K Snowshoe Race is the 22nd annual event held at Camp Saratoga (Old Boy Scout Camp) in Gansevoort, NY, at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park. The event welcomes both snowshoe hikers and runners and is organized as an 8K distance.
Participants are expected to race using snowshoes. The required snowshoe functional surface area is 120 sq. in. for adult models. A limited number of loaner snowshoes are available for a $10 rental fee payable day of event; reservations are recommended to ensure availability. Optional previous year gray long-sleeved wicking tees may be available at bib pick-up; sizes are limited and one shirt is provided per bundled registration.
If there is no snow, the event will likely be run as a trail race and may require ice traction devices under foot. Day-of registration is available with a price increase on race day; cash or check only for day-of payments. There is a no refunds policy.
