Sarasota Suncoast Half Marathon and 5k
The Sarasota Suncoast Half Marathon and 5k takes place at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. This venue is a specialized rowing facility featuring a 400-acre lake. The event includes two primary distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5k
The course for both races winds through the park grounds. For the half marathon, there is a strict time limit of 3.5 hours. To support participants during the race, water and electrolyte stations are positioned along the route at intervals of approximately two miles or less.
Participants receive a finisher medal and have the choice between a technical t-shirt or a cotton tank top. Personalized engraving for the back of the medals is available at the venue for an additional fee. The event uses live timing technology, allowing for immediate result tracking. Awards are presented to the top five finishers across numerous age groups, ranging from children aged 10 and under to seniors aged 75 and older.
