About the race
Santas on the Loose is the 14th annual family run/walk and kids dash held in Webster Groves. The event fills streets of the historic Webster Groves neighborhood with participants in holiday costumes who run or walk a variety of short distances. The event is presented by the QUAD Area Chamber of Commerce, which supports the Webster Groves, Shrewsbury, Rock Hill and Brentwood communities and follows St. Louis County health and safety guidelines.

- 3.1 Miles 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- 0.25 Miles Kids Dash
Registration opens August 3, 2026. Registration deadlines differ by event: 5K and 1 Mile registration closes September 30, 2026; Kids Dash registration remains open through the event day. There is no in-person registration; online registration continues until the race start. Registration fees listed for each distance apply.
Participant items and services noted by the organizer: the first 500 registered 5K runners receive a long sleeve 100% polyester shirt and a finisher medal; 1 Mile participants receive the same shirt and finisher medal; each Kids Dash participant receives a medal. Water will be provided at the finish line and participants are advised to bring any fluids they need during the course. First place winners receive awards at the Regions Bank/ServPro sponsor booth after the run.
