Santa Rosa Marathon
The Santa Rosa Marathon takes place on August 22 and 23, 2026, in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. The event marks its 18th anniversary and offers multiple race options across a two-day weekend.

Courses run through Sonoma wine country on mostly flat routes along vineyard-lined paths and rolling hills. Races are professionally timed and finishers receive commemorative medals and free finisher photos. Post-race celebrations are held at Old Courthouse Square.
Race registration includes event apparel and other finishers items: full and half marathon registrants receive a commemorative full-zip jacket; 10K and 5K registrants receive an official event t-shirt. Beverage provisions for participants age 21 and over vary by distance: full and half marathon entries include two beers plus a bottle of wine, while 10K and 5K entries include one complimentary beer. Virtual participants receive event swag and may complete their distance remotely.
The weekend supports community involvement through group registration, volunteer opportunities, charity fundraising for Alchemia (which assists children with special needs), and sponsor partnerships.
