Course features, awards, and community impact
The marathon is listed as a Boston-qualifying race and is noted among top Boston-qualifying events. The courses are described as fast with a net downhill profile. One report highlights that the first 23 miles follow the Silverado Trail, with most course turns occurring in the final four miles, and that the route passes vineyards and wineries.
Finishers in the marathon and half receive a BOCO Gear backpack, a medal, and a T-shirt. The 5K provides a long-sleeve finisher tee and medal. Proceeds support local causes, including college scholarships for Napa County high school seniors and other community donations. The 5K is a Kiwanis Club of Greater Napa event.
