The Last 10K & Final 2-Mile

The Last 10K and Final 2-Mile is the Empire Runners Club year-end race held in Howarth Park, Santa Rosa, CA. It is the club's 47th annual running of the event and finishes at a picnic area in Howarth Park. Runners complete courses on paved paths and trails and receive an Empire Runners Club mug of hot chocolate at the finish.

The 10K course starts at Camp Watam and follows a route that runs from Howarth Park to Spring Lake Park, passes the dam, uses trails near the swim lagoon and Railroad Bridge, goes through the campground toward the boat ramp, returns over the dam, follows Fishermans Trail, and finishes at the first picnic table near the Howarth Park parking lot. Course files are available in Strava and GPX formats.

Registration options and fees are specified by the club. Empire Runners Club members may pre-register online through 5 PM on December 4. Non-member online pre-registration through that same deadline has a listed fee, and race day registration carries an additional charge. New 2027 membership tiers include adult, family, and youth options that include entry to this race and membership benefits for 2027.
