The Kokosing Alberici Traylor Engineers Day 5K takes place in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan on June 26, 2026. The race is part of Engineers Day Weekend and is based at Ashmun Bay Park and the Ashmun Bay Boat Launch. An optional race T-shirt is offered during online registration for an additional $15.
Course and logistics
The course runs from the Ashmun Bay Boat Launch along the Ted Caffey Memorial Trail to South Street and back. The route is 100% soft surface, composed of gravel road and snowmobile trail, and offers views of Ashmun Bay, freighters, the start of the power canal, the international bridge, and shoreline foliage. Race day bib and packet pickup are available near the boat launch area, and there is an early packet pickup the evening before at a local outfitter.
Awards and results
Age group awards are given to first place in these divisions: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Overall awards are presented for Top Male, Top Female, Top Master (40+), and Top Grandmaster (60+). Finish-line refreshments include water, sports drink, bananas, watermelon, chips, and fruit snacks.
