The Kokosing Alberici Traylor Engineers Day 5K takes place on June 26, 2026 in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. The run is part of Engineers Day Weekend and is based at the Ashmun Bay Boat Launch at Ashmun Bay Park. An early packet pickup is scheduled on the Thursday evening before the race at Birdseye Outfitters. Race day packet pickup will be available near the boat launch parking area. A race T-shirt option is available during online registration for an additional $15. Each participant receives a medal and post-race refreshments.
Course, awards and results
The course runs from the Ashmun Bay Boat Launch to the Ted Caffey Memorial Trail, proceeds to South Street, and returns to the start. The surface is 100% soft - gravel road and snowmobile trail - with views of Ashmun Bay, freighters, the start of the power canal, the international bridge, and shoreline foliage. Finish-line refreshments include water, Gatorade, bananas, watermelon, bags of chips, and fruit snacks. Age-group awards are given to first place in age divisions from 0-9 up to 80+. Overall awards are presented for Top Male, Top Female, Top Master (40+), and Top Grandmaster (60+). Chip timing is used with a common start/finish timing mat; onsite and online results are provided by Yooper Running Company. Male course record: 16:02.91 (2024).
