Santa Classic 5K - West Lafayette
The Santa Classic is a community 5K run and walk held on Saturday, December 5, 2026 at the Wabash Township Fire Department, 2899 Klondike Rd, West Lafayette, IN. The event benefits Wabash Township's Professional Firefighter Local Union 5383 as part of a Shop with a Firefighter fundraiser. The distance for participants is 5K.
Event features include holiday costumes, seasonal refreshments, commemorative shirts, festive music, and a visit from Santa. A Best Costume Award will be given: one elf and one Santa will each receive a prize. Participants who register by Friday, November 20 are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Online registration is available until December 4.
Entry fees are tiered: $30 through October 31, $35 from November 1 through December 4, and $40 on race morning. Awards are given to the top male and female overall and to the top male and female finisher in each age division: 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and 70 and over.
Notes on participation state that costumes or festive attire are encouraged but not required. Refunds will not be issued. Early or late start requests will not be granted. Bikes, roller skates or blades, skateboards, reindeer-drawn carriages, or any equipment that could enhance performance or pose a safety risk are prohibited.
