Event overview
The Santa Classic is an inaugural 5K run/walk held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, to support the Wabash Township Fire Department's Shop with a Firefighter program. The event takes place at the Wabash Township Fire Department, 2899 Klondike Rd, West Lafayette, IN 47906. The event features holiday costumes, seasonal refreshments, commemorative shirts, festive music, age-group awards, and a visit from Santa. A costume contest will award one prize to an elf and one prize to a Santa.
Registration, fees, awards and rules
Pre-registration for the 5K is $30; race-day entry is $35. Registrants are asked to register by Friday, November 21 to guarantee an event T-shirt. Online registration is available through Friday, December 5 at 9:00 pm.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall and to the top male and female finisher in each division: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Costumes and festive attire are encouraged but not required. Refunds will not be issued. Bikes, roller skates or blades, skateboards, reindeer-drawn carriages, or any device that could enhance performance or pose a risk to participants are prohibited.
