Event Overview

The Run for Justice 5K/10K is the 17th annual fundraising running event. It offers participants the choice between a 5K run/walk and a 10K run, with the goal of raising money to combat modern-day slavery and trafficking. The beneficiary of the funds is the International Justice Mission.

Location and Schedule

The in-person event is held on a Saturday in April. The start and packet pick-up location is the West Lafayette Wellness Center. The race uses the certified West Lafayette Wellness Center trail for its route.

A separate Kids' Dash for children aged 10 and under takes place the evening before at Calvary Church, coinciding with early packet pick-up.

Registration and Fees

Entry fees are $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K. Registration includes a t-shirt for participants who sign up by a specified early deadline. Online registration closes a few days before the event, but in-person registration is available during packet pick-up times on both Friday and Saturday.

Teams are eligible for special shirts: teams of 15 or more for the 10K or 20 or more for the 5K. The deadline for team registration is in early April.

Awards and Guidelines

Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in various age categories for both the 5K and 10K events. The event follows USATF scoring guidelines, and all awards are based on gun time.

Important Notes

As this is a fundraising event, no refunds are issued for any reason. All funds raised benefit the International Justice Mission. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
