Running with Raccoons 5K - Camp Tecumseh
The Running with Raccoons event is Camp Tecumseh’s tenth annual 5K run/walk, scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana. The event is chip timed and raises funds to benefit Camp Tecumseh’s campership fund.
A separate Rookie Run takes place before the main 5K. Race-day packet pick-up is available at Camp Tecumseh and includes a bib, a gift, and a T-shirt for those who registered before the early bird deadline, along with other race-day items.
Parking is organized with signs directing vehicles to the Tecumseh Leadership Center parking lot and the Kampen & Scheumann parking lot; overflow parking may be available across the road. From the parking areas participants can walk to the Kampen and Scheumann lodges.
Participants are advised to bring appropriate footwear, suitable clothing, and a water bottle. All-terrain strollers are permitted for small children. Pets and bicycles are not allowed on the course.
The course starts in Lake Village in the pioneer settlement and finishes at Kampen Lodge. The route follows Lake Road through River Village and a pine forest, then returns past Lake Village cabins.
