Sandwich Fair Shake Up Shuffle
The Sandwich Fair Shake Up Shuffle is a family-oriented running event held at the Sandwich Fairgrounds in Sandwich, Illinois on September 7, 2026. Both routes begin on the infield track, run through the fairgrounds, and finish back on the infield where a post-race celebration includes music, games, a new Kids Zone, and appearances from local businesses.
Available distances:
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 1 Mile - 1 mile
Registered participants receive a Shake Up Shuffle shirt, a timed race bib with finisher results, and a collectible finisher medal. Course water, post-race refreshments, and an ice cold Lemonade Shake Up from McKinney’s Concessions are provided. Full-route registrants also receive a five day Sandwich Fair season pass. Swag bags are limited to the first two hundred registered participants ages six and older.
Special pricing is available for participants age five and under on both courses. Discounted pricing for the full route is offered through May 2, 2026. Registration opens May 1, 2026. Proceeds support DeKalb County nonprofit organizations through grant funding distributed by the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
