I Raced The Law 5K and Fun Run
The 3rd Annual I Raced The Law 5K and Fun Run takes place in Oswego, IL on April 19, 2026. The event raises money for the Oswego Public Safety Cadets Post #1833. Proceeds will support equipment, training, and reduce costs for participation in the 2027 Public Safety Cadets Summer Showdown. The course is USATF certified and the event is chip timed.

An adult 5k and a color run are offered, along with 5k and color run divisions for ages 12 and under. Adult events are listed as open to ages 13 to 100; youth events are open to ages 12 and under.
Packet pickup is at the Oswego Police Department at 3355 Woolley Rd on April 15 and April 16, 2026, with additional day-of pickup available at the race site. The event includes an award ceremony after the race. All participants receive a t-shirt; sign-ups after March 31, 2026 are not guaranteed a shirt, and any extra shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on race day. Participants may race against a police officer in their age and gender bracket; those who beat the officer's time can mark an "I Won" box on the t-shirt.
