I Raced The Law 5K and Color Run
The event takes place on 04/18/2027 in Oswego, Illinois, at 4120 Plainfield Rd. It includes both a certified 5K and a 1 Mile Color Run, with separate entries for participants aged 12 and under.

- 5K certified course, chip timed by Kinetic Timing.
- 1 Mile Color Run, shirt and colors included.
- 5K 12 and under category.
- 1 Mile Color Run 12 and under category.
The certified 5K will be led by a bicyclist, with staff positioned along the course to clarify directions and with water stations available. The Color Run includes color stations along the mile course and shirts are provided for color participants. The 5K uses chip timing and is USATF certified.
Proceeds support Oswego Public Safety Cadets Post #1833 and will fund equipment, training, and help lower costs for participation in the 2027 Public Safety Cadets Summer Showdown. Runners can race against a police officer in their age and gender bracket; all participants receive a t-shirt and those who beat the officer's time may check the I Won box on the shirt.
Packet pickup is at the Oswego Police Department, 3355 Woolley Rd, on 4/15/27 and 4/16/27 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Day of packet pickup and day of registration begin at 8:00 am at the race site. Sign ups after 3/31/26 are not guaranteed a shirt. Color run powder will most likely wash out of shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
