I Raced The Law 5K and Color Run

This is the third annual edition of the event. It raises money for the Oswego Public Safety Cadets Post #1833. Proceeds support equipment, training, and reducing the cost for participation in the 2027 Public Safety Cadets Summer Showdown.

The event offers four different runs:

  • I Raced The Law 5k
  • I Raced The Law Color Run (1 mile)
  • I Raced The Law 5k Run 12 and Under
  • I Raced The Law Color Run 12 and Under

Participants in the 5K race against a police officer in their age and gender bracket. All registered participants receive a t-shirt. Those who finish faster than their assigned officer's time can check off an "I Won" box printed on the shirt. The Color Run is a one-mile event.

The race is USATF certified and uses chip timing. Packet pickup is available at the Oswego Police Department (3355 Woolley Rd) on April 16 and 17, 2026. Day-of packet pickup and registration are also available at the race site. The award ceremony takes place after the last runner finishes. Registrations after March 31, 2026, are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
