I Raced The Law 5K and Color Run
The event is a community fundraiser in Oswego supporting the Oswego Public Safety Cadets Post #1833. Proceeds will go toward equipment, training, and reducing participation costs for the 2027 Public Safety Cadets Summer Showdown.
The event offers multiple race options:
- 5K race on a USATF certified course, chip timed by Kinetic Timing.
- 5K run for ages 12 and under, same certified course and chip timing.
- 1 mile Color Run with shirt and colors included.
- 1 mile Color Run for ages 12 and under, shirt and colors included.
The certified 5K will be led by a bicyclist and staffed along the route for direction. Water stations are available on the course. Participants can race against a police officer within their age and gender bracket; all participants receive a t-shirt and those who beat the officer's time may mark the "I Won" box on the shirt. Packet pickup is available at the Oswego Police Department at 3355 Woolley Rd and at the race site on event day. Color powder is expected to wash out of shirts in most cases.
