Event information
The 4th Annual Lover's Lane Valentine Boardwalk 5k takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The Seashore Striders host the event and designate proceeds to benefit local charities in the Cape Region. The event is chip timed using the Chronotrack system. The start/finish location is the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand at 1 Rehoboth Avenue. Race shirts are guaranteed to pre-registered participants; refreshments, chocolate, and bagels may be available.

- 5k - 3.11 mile out-and-back course.
- Kids 1/4 mile fun run - 200 m north, 200 m south; free; no registration.
Course and logistics
The course runs north from the boardwalk at Rehoboth Avenue to the entrance of Cape Henlopen State Park at Gordon's Pond and returns to the bandstand. The route is marked with arrows and cones; participants are required to follow the marked course and stay on the road where indicated. Police will be stationed along parts of the route. Bicycles and non-registered "bandit" runners are not permitted on the course. Headphones or ear pods worn in both ears are discouraged for safety; organizers request use of one ear only if music is used.
Registration options include online, on-site race day, and mail-in entry. Fees are listed as $30 for early registration through February 8, $35 during race week (February 9-13), and $40 for race day "last chance" registration on February 14. Parking will be on Rehoboth Avenue; meters are not in effect. Awards are given overall, masters, and top three in 10-year age groups from 9 & under to 70 & over.
