Lover's Lane Valentine Boardwalk 5k : Rehoboth Beach, DE
The event is a 5k out-and-back race that starts on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk at the bandstand and runs north to the turn-around at Gordon's Pond at Cape Henlopen State Park. The course distance is 3.11 miles and is marked with arrows and cones; police are stationed where the road is marked.

The Seashore Striders host the event and list race timing by chip using the Chronotrack system. Race amenities include long sleeve cotton race shirts for pre-registered participants, and refreshments such as chocolate and bagels when available from Surf Bagel. Awards are given for overall male and female, master male and female, and top three finishers in 10-year age groups from 9 and under to 80 and over.
Registration fees vary by date: $30 early registration through February 8, $35 during race week February 9 to 13, and $40 on race day. Parking will be on Rehoboth Avenue where meters are not in effect. The event benefits local charities in the Cape region.
Participants are required to follow course instructions; bicycles and non-registered runners are not allowed on the course, and wearing headphones in both ears is discouraged for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
