The 4th Annual Lover's Lane Valentine Boardwalk 5k is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The event is hosted by Seashore Striders at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand, 1 Rehoboth Avenue.
- 3.11 mile out-and-back course (Boardwalk at Rehoboth Avenue to Gordon's Pond)
- 1/4 mile kids "Cupid" fun run, free, no registration, no t-shirt (200m north, 200m south)
Entry, course and logistics
Individual 5k registration fees listed in the event information are $30 for early registration through February 8, $35 during race week (February 9-13), and $40 for race day registration. The event will use Chronotrack chip timing. Long sleeve cotton race shirts are provided to pre-registered participants. Refreshments, chocolate, and bagels may be available from Surf Bagel. Awards are given for overall male and female, master male and female, and top three finishers in 10-year age groups from 9 & U to 80 & O. Parking will be on Rehoboth Avenue and meters are not in effect.
The race benefits local charities in the Cape Region. The organizer states a no-refund policy with options to transfer the entry to another Seashore Strider event, donate the fee to the event charity or youth running program, or defer entry to the following year. Participants must follow the marked course; police will be stationed. Bikes and non-registered "bandit" runners are not allowed. Headphones in both ears are discouraged.
