All races start and finish at Shelter 1. The common route follows the white trail west, turns south on the yellow trail to ascend and descend Sanders Mound, then returns north on the yellow back to the white trail. The 10K continues to the Lake Henry aid station, returns on the blue trail, repeats the mound, and finishes at Shelter 1. The 25K includes a single trip to the mound then continues on the white trail to the first connector past Mile Marker 9, descends to the blue trail near mile 5.59, and proceeds to the finish. The 50K is two loops of the 25K course.
Aid stations are positioned at Lake Henry, Lands End, and the Start/Finish, with specific mile locations noted on the event map. 25K and 50K participants must carry a handheld or hydration pack; drop bags are available at Lands End and Start/Finish. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race and to the first place non-binary finisher in each race. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed and cleaned up after by their owners.
Race policies include options to change distance before race day with pro-rata charges for upgrades, strict bib nontransfer rules, no refunds or deferrals, and requirements to notify the Race Director at least seven days before the event if unable to attend. The 50K has a time cutoff of nine hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
