Genesis/LTC Indoor Mock Triathlon
This indoor mock triathlon in Lawrence on October 18, 2026, is organized by Genesis and the Lawrence Triathlon Club. The event is free to participate and is intended to test the course layout, timing systems, and support stations to evaluate how a potential race would be run at this venue. Registration opens September 29, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026.
There are two age divisions. Youth competitors are ages 7 to 14 and race first. Adult competitors are ages 15 and older. Youth must pass a swim test before the event. Youth will have their height checked for the spin bike with a minimum of 47 inches. A parent or coach must be present during the swim portion and remain on site for the entire youth race.
During pack pickup participants receive lane and heat assignments, have bikes measured with a minimum height of 4'10", receive bike fitting assistance from volunteers, and may practice on treadmills to find correct settings.
The swim takes place in a 25 yard pool; one lap equals a down and back. If more than half a lane length is completed when time ends, that counts as one length. Bike and run scores are the total distance covered on the stationary bike and treadmill during the allotted time. Volunteers will track distances and document results. Final score is the combined distance from swim, bike, and run. Non Genesis members must sign a Genesis waiver in addition to the event waiver.
