San Francisco Pride Run
The San Francisco Pride Run is a volunteer-led event held on the Saturday morning of SF Pride weekend, celebrating fitness, fundraising, and LGBTQ+ pride. It offers an inclusive in-person 5K and 10K run or walk and a kids dash, open to all ages, abilities, and gender identities. The event takes place at Middle Drive West at Metson Road in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Event distances and formats include:
- 5k in person and virtual
- 10k in person and virtual
- 100 m kids dash
The course is USATF certified and the event is USATF sanctioned; it covers sections of Golden Gate Park. Chain of Lakes Drive and John F Kennedy Drive sections are primarily compressed, unpaved paths. Jogging strollers are allowed, with caution advised on unpaved sections and around runners competing for time.
Registration uses tiered pricing: early bird $50 until 5/16, regular $55 until 6/24, and limited day-of registration $70 on 6/27 as capacity allows. Virtual runs are open from June 13 to June 28; virtual participants may receive a t-shirt at bib pickup or by mail about 30 days after the virtual event concludes. Top placer medals are not offered for virtual entries.
The beneficiary for 2026 is the Rafiki Coalition, whose mission is to eliminate health inequities in San Francisco’s Black, LGBTQ+, and marginalized communities through education, advocacy, and holistic health and wellness services.
Practical notes: parking is suggested at Lindley Meadow; Martin Luther King Jr. Drive parking will be closed between Chain of Lakes Drive East and 25th Avenue. Public transit options listed include N Judah at Judah & 34th Ave and 29 at Lincoln & 33rd Ave. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
