2026 CVC San Diego Triathlon and San Diego Tri Series 5K
The CVC San Diego Triathlon & 5K is the second event in the San Diego Triathlon Series and a component of the Triple Crown of Triathlon. The competition is held at Chula Vista Bayside Park, featuring a centralized venue where the start, transition area, finish line, and post-race garden are all located in a single park setting.
The course is set against the San Diego Bayfront, providing a flat and fast route along the water. Participants swim in the calm, warm waters of the bay before transitioning to the cycling and running portions of the event. The race provides views of the coastal landscape and the Gaylord Hotel. After the competition, a beer and margarita garden is available on-the-water for participants and spectators.
Athletes can choose from a wide variety of multisport formats:
- International Triathlon: 1,000 m swim, 38 km bike, and 10 km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 500 m swim, 19 km bike, and 5 km run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 1 mile run, 19 km bike, and 5 km run.
