Event Overview
The Annual San Bernardino Turkey Trot returns for its 12th year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The event takes place at Cal State San Bernardino, featuring a scenic course that winds through the university campus. This athletic gathering serves as a community tradition held at 5500 University Pkwy in San Bernardino, California.
Race Categories
Participants can choose from several event distances:
- 10K Run/Walk: A chip-timed race through the campus.
- 5K Run/Walk: A chip-timed race through the campus.
- Kids 1K: A short-distance run designed for younger participants.
- Virtual 5/10K: An option for remote participation with materials mailed to the entrant.
Participant Details and Amenities
All participants in the 5K and 10K events receive custom-designed diecast finisher medals and event shirts in adult unisex or youth sizes. Shirts are guaranteed for those who register by November 10th. The 5K and 10K races use chip timing to determine age group awards, which are presented to the top three male and female finishers in 18 different categories.
Festival and Teams
The event includes a finish-line festival featuring music, food, and a costume contest. Team competitions are also held, with specific awards dedicated to the largest team and the fastest team. Group discounts are available for teams consisting of eight or more members.
Logistics
Packet pick-up is scheduled for the Friday before the race at a designated location in San Bernardino, with an additional option to collect materials at the venue on the morning of the event.
