About the race
On November 14, 2026 the Salute to Veterans event takes place in Kennesaw, Georgia at 2501 Cobb Pl Ln NW, Zama Mexican Cuisine. The event offers both in person races and virtual options and is organized around race distances rather than a festival format.
Available race distances include:
- 5K in person and virtual
- 10K in person and virtual
- Half Marathon / 13.1 miles in person and virtual
Registration opens on 2026-04-08 and deadlines vary by category; most standard entries close on 2026-04-20 while veteran and active duty categories remain open through race day. Standard entry fees listed for in person events are $25 for the 5K, $30 for the 10K and $45 for the half marathon. Virtual entries are listed at $25. Veteran entries are free; active duty entries are reduced to $15. Race shirts are not included and must be purchased at registration if wanted. Veterans and active duty participants must present a form of veteran or military ID at registration or bib pick up.
All participants receive a custom finisher medal upon crossing the finish line. Awards are planned for top three male and female overall finishers in each distance, top three overall Masters, Grand Masters and Senior Masters male and female finishers, and the top three athletes in each traditional five year age group beginning at 10 and under across all distances.
