Salem Run'ucopia Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 6k/10k/15k
Salem Run'ucopia is a Thanksgiving Day running event held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Riverfront Park in Salem, Oregon. The course starts and finishes at the pavilion and passes Eco-Earth and the new bridge into Minto Brown Island Park, touring the organizer-described largest interconnected urban park system in the United States. The event is chip timed.
Distances offered include:
- 1K kids run (age 6 and under), free with race-day waiver
- 6K run/walk, approximately 4 miles
- 10K run, out-and-back route
- 15K run, out-and-back with an additional dirt trail loop on the return
The 1K is self-timed and all finishers receive a ribbon. Age groups are used for the 6K, 10K, and 15K with ribbons for top three age-group placers and special awards for the top three men and women in each distance. Walkers are welcome and asked to stay to the right so runners can pass on the left. Strollers are allowed; dogs are not permitted.
There is early packet pickup the day before the race in downtown Salem at Gallagher's Fitness Resources. Registration includes an option to donate to charity partners, and the event organization makes annual charitable contributions. Sponsors include Gallagher's Fitness Resources, Dutch Bros Coffee, and FastSigns South Salem. Raffle items, awards, and refreshments are provided post-race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
