The event is held at Eola Hills Wine Cellars in Rickreall, Oregon. Two timed race options are offered on a flat out and back course that begins and ends near the wine cellar.

Proceeds from the event are shared by the track and field and cross country programs at Dallas High School and Central High School. The field is capped at 350 racers. New for 2026 the race is chip timed and participants receive a souvenir wine glass.
Parking at the event location fills quickly and Polk County Fairgrounds parking is not available. Organizers provide overflow parking about one quarter mile south of Eola in a field and recommend carpooling where possible. Race day registration is available; exact cash is requested and credit or debit is accepted. Day of race fees are listed as 10K = $60 and 5K = $55.
Organizers ask that participants finish their events within 90 minutes of the start time. Bibs should be worn on the front and visible for timing verification. The top three male and female finishers in each race receive prizes, and the top three in each ten year age division receive ribbons. No dogs are allowed on the course. Strollers are permitted but should not crowd the front of the start line. After the race participants are offered pizza and a glass of wine, beer, or soda in the wine cellar.
