Event overview
The Salcey Forest Christmas race is a trail running event at Salcey Forest, Wootton Road, Northampton, NN7 2HX. The course uses tree-lined forest paths and is described as mixed terrain that is virtually flat but can be muddy. Seasonal fancy dress is permitted and a prize is awarded for the best seasonal outfit. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Discounted parking is available for runners; the parking charge is £3.50 and covers parking for two hours from the start of the race. There are no nearby train stations, but there are bus stops in Hartwell close to the venue. On-the-day entry fees, subject to availability, are listed as: 10k £30, 5k £25, Junior Run £7.
