Event Overview
The Saints Shuffle is an annual community event held at Millstone Trails in the Barre Town Forest. This event benefits a local non-profit school and offers multiple ways to participate, including in-person trail routes and a virtual option. The in-person activities take place in a natural setting featuring historic granite quarries.
Race Courses
The event offers different distances and formats for participants:
- 5K Fun Run/Walk: A trail route following the Millstone XC Quarry Class path, starting and finishing in the field across from Millstone Hill Lodge.
- Kids' K Fun Run: A 1-kilometer course consisting of two laps within a designated open field.
- Virtual Run/Walk: A flexible option where participants complete their chosen distance and activity at any location.
Participant Information
In-person participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to reduce waste. For the 5K event, all children must be supervised by an adult. For the Kids' K, young participants may complete a single lap if preferred, and parents can accompany them on the course without an additional registration fee.
Registration includes a raffle ticket for a post-race drawing and a souvenir t-shirt for those who register by the designated early deadline. Finishers receive medals at the end of their event. On-site amenities include a food truck, an ice cream stand, and a post-race cook-out. The event is held rain or shine, though severe weather may result in a transition to the virtual format.
