About the race
Saintfield 5k & 10k is a measured road event held at Saintfield Sports Club, Comber Street, Saintfield. Entries are capped at 500. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a buff. The event carries a stated total prize fund of over £1,200 with cash prizes for first, second and third placed male and female runners.
The race uses an officially measured, certified course. Age category prizes are awarded for U30, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+. There is a club trophy for the club with the highest number of entries at the time online entries close. Prize placings are based on official gun time and duplicate prizes will not be awarded.
Event rules and participant limits include minimum entry ages of 11 years for the 5 km and 15 years for the 10 km. The wearing of headphones other than bone-conduction types is strictly prohibited. Buggies and dogs are not permitted. A portion of every entry fee will be donated to Brainwaves NI. Number collection is arranged from Saintfield Sports Club on dates before and on the event day as detailed by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
