Seaton Classic 10k
The Seaton Classic 10 km on 26 September 2026 is organised by North Down Athletic Club and incorporates the Northern Ireland & Ulster 10k championship under Athletics Northern Ireland. The event is held in association with John Minnis Estate Agents.
Registration opens for ANI registered athletes on 19 June, with general entry available from 3 July. Entry options and prices (ANI registered / non-ANI registered) include green entry (no medal, no t-shirt) £16 / £18, medal only £20 / £22, t-shirt only £23 / £25 and full entry (medal and technical t-shirt) £26 / £28, with some options subject to availability and limited late registrations at pack collection if the event has not sold out.
Race pack collection takes place at Bangor Aurora Aquatic & Leisure Complex, 3 Valentine Road, Bangor, with sessions the day before and on race morning. Pack collection is about a 10 minute walk from the start in Castle Park.
The race is chip timed and there is no virtual option. The advertised prize fund is over £4,100 and prizes will follow UK Athletics and Athletics NI championship rules. The course starts outside Bangor Castle in Castle Park and finishes in Ward Park. Water stations are provided at Groomsport and at the finish, and post-race refreshments will be available in the bowling pavilion adjacent to Ward Park.
The route is described as fairly flat and fast with coastal sections around Ballyholme and Groomsport and a short hill near 9 km. Roads remain open to traffic and the event will be marshalled. Participants must be aged 15 or over. The use of in-ear headphones is prohibited. First aid is provided along the route and at the finish.
