Northern Ireland and Ulster Championship Seaton Classic 10k
The Seaton Classic is a chip timed 10 km road race in Bangor on 26 September 2026 that incorporates the NI & Ulster 10k championships organised by North Down Athletic Club. The course starts in Castle Park near the City Hall and finishes in Ward Park. The route is described as fairly flat and fast, runs downhill into Bangor city centre, includes coastal sections around Ballyholme and Groomsport, and has a short hill near the 9 km mark.
Entries follow Athletics Northern Ireland rules with ANI-registered entries opening on 19 June and general entry on 3 July. Several entry types and prices are listed, including Green, Medal only, T-shirt only, and Full Entry options, with different rates for ANI registered and non-ANI registered athletes. Limited registrations may be available at pack collection.
Race pack collection is at Bangor Aurora Aquatic & Leisure Complex, 3 Valentine Road, Bangor, with sessions on the Friday evening before the race and on the morning of the event. Changing facilities, showers and toilets are available at the Aurora centre; additional public and event toilets are provided near the start.
Safety and race rules follow Athletics NI and UK Athletics regulations. Roads remain open to traffic and the route will be marshalled. In-ear headphones are not permitted and will lead to disqualification. First aid is provided along the route and at the finish. Water stations are provided at Groomsport and at the finish, and refreshments will be available after the race in the bowling pavilion adjacent to the finish in Ward Park.
