Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon
The Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon takes place in the Marlborough region of New Zealand, a location recognized for its food and wine production. The event features a course that leads participants through vineyards during the autumn season. The routes include sections off the beaten track and offer views of the local landscape.
Participants can choose from two main course distances:
- 21.1 km
- 12 km
Both categories allow for different participation styles, including running, walking, or a hybrid of both. The event is open to individual entrants as well as teams of four. Those participating in teams are encouraged to wear matching gear. The half marathon distance starts and finishes at the Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen on Selmes Road in Blenheim. The 12 km course begins at the Vines Village on Rapaura Road and concludes at the same finish location as the half marathon.
Along the route, organizers provide entertainment and treats from local producers. Upon completion of either distance, every finisher receives a bottle of wine from the Saint Clair Family Estate. The first-place male and female finishers in the run categories for both distances receive a magnum-sized bottle of wine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
