Mt Vernon Grand Traverse - event details
Mt Vernon Grand Traverse takes place on and around Mt Vernon, following the boundaries of Wither Hills Farm Park. The event offers multiple distances on marked routes that include significant climbing and varied terrain.
The distances and key facts:
- 18 km Grand Traverse: 950 m climb, summit 422 m, age 14+, $25 entry.
- 11 km Fun Run/Walk: about 650 m climb, quick climb to Mt Vernon then traverse, age 12+, $20.
- 2 km Kids Challenge: out-and-back on the Mapp Track with smaller hills, age up to 12, $5.
On-day registration is at the Redwood Street Gateway Carpark at the top of Redwood Street; cash only. Online entries are available and close 12 June.
