Sage City Triathlon
The KMC Sage City Triathlon takes place in Monticello, Illinois on August 7, 2027. The event is organized by Kirby Medical Center and the City of Monticello and is held at 601 W. Railroad St, Monticello, IL 61856.
Distances offered include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 300 m swim, 13.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Mini Triathlon: 100 m swim, 5 mile bike, 1 mile run
Registration opens March 1, 2027 and closes July 31, 2027. There is no late registration or on-site registration. Fees listed by the organizer are $65.00 for the sprint, $100.00 for the sprint relay team, and $55.00 for the mini. Participants who register by 11:59 pm CST on July 13 will receive a race shirt, available for pick up on race morning.
The venue includes a shallow depth pool for the swim and a course described as being in good condition. The transition area opens on race morning and athlete marking takes place on the basketball court. Awards are given to top finishers overall and by age group, plus categories for Clydesdale, Athena, and relays. Post race food is provided for athletes, including subway sandwiches, chips and drinks.
