Sage City Triathlon - Monticello, IL
The Sage City Triathlon is an annual event presented by Kirby Medical Center and the City of Monticello at 601 W. Railroad St, Monticello, IL 61856. The venue includes a shallow-depth pool and a measured bike and run course. The event offers individual and relay options across two distance formats:
- Sprint Triathlon - 300 m swim, 13.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Sprint Relay Team - 300 m swim, 13.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Mini Triathlon - 100 m swim, 5 mile bike, 1 mile run
Registration closes the Thursday of race week; there will be no late or on-site registration. Participants who register by July 14 receive a free race shirt, available for pick up on race morning. The transition area opens on race morning and athlete marking is held on the basketball court.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three male and female in each age group (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), and top three Clydesdale, Athena, and relay teams. Post-race food is provided for athletes and includes sandwiches, chips, and drinks. This race is not USAT sanctioned; a USAT one-day pass or number is not required for registration or packet pickup.
