SACTOWN Run
The Credit Union SACTOWN Run is an annual road racing event held in Sacramento. Organized by the Sacramento Running Association, the event acts as a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since its inception in 2012, the partnership between credit unions and the local running community has raised nearly $3 million to support pediatric healthcare.
Participants can choose from multiple distance options, which include the following:
- SACTOWN Road Mile
- Other distances typically part of the event series
A notable feature of the event is the introduction of the SACTOWN Road Mile, which serves as Sacramento’s only dedicated road mile race. The event marks a collaboration between California and Nevada’s credit unions. Participation is open to the general community, and the proceeds benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the Credit Union for Kids program.
The event is held on paved roads within the city. It emphasizes community involvement and charitable giving, attracting runners from the Northern California region and beyond. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
