About the race
The 16th annual Sacha's Sashay is a community fundraising run and walk held in Mackinaw, Illinois on October 3, 2026. The event is based at Mackinaw Village Hall and the course starts and finishes in front of the Mackinaw Municipal Building.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run
- 1.5 Mile Walk (untimed)
Registration fees include mandatory charges. For both events the standard fee is shown as $34.09 for registrations from August 3 to September 19 and $39.44 for registrations from September 20 to October 3. Registrants 12 and under have a reduced fee of $18.04. Race shirts are distributed after the event at an October 22 pickup; a late shirt pickup is scheduled for October 21 for registrations on or after September 22.
Packet pickup is available at Veteran's Park on October 2 and again at Veteran's Park on October 3. Packet pickup is permitted for friends and family.
Awards are given for top finishers: top male and top female overall, plus age group awards by net time for top three males and females in these groups: 12 and under, 13-17, 18-49, and 50 and over.
