Rye Summer 10k & 5k Series: Race One

Race One is the first of a five-race summer series organised by Nice Work at The Point, Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, Rye, East Sussex. The series takes place across May, June, July, August and September, with full 2026 dates listed as Friday 08 May 2026, Friday 05 June 2026, Friday 10 July 2026, Friday 07 August 2026 and Friday 04 September 2026. The 2026 programme includes an additional fifth race in May.

The reserve course runs on tarmac and is described as flat and fast. The route passes coastal habitats including interlocking shingle ridges, saltmarsh, areas of intertidal grazing, reed-beds and saline lagoons. Wind can affect conditions and, when favourable, quick times are possible. Race day is noted for a friendly atmosphere.

Series entries include a t-shirt. Awards and finish items include bespoke medals for the 10k and 5k, a finisher medal for the junior run and trophies. Series pricing examples are provided for 2026: 10k series options from £84 affiliated, £92 unaffiliated, 5k series options from £60 affiliated, £68 unaffiliated, and junior series £30. On the day single race entry fees are listed as 10k £25, 5k £20 and Junior Run £7.
