Rye 10 & 5 Mile
The Rye 10 & 5 Mile is a road race laid out on the quiet country lanes around the village of Peasmarsh, just outside Rye in East Sussex. The course is described as hilly and scenic and takes place in conjunction with the Peasmarsh Memorial Hall Committee to raise funds for the village hall. The event is included in the Sussex Grand Prix 2026.
The event base is at Jempsons Supermarket, Main Street, Peasmarsh, Nr Rye, East Sussex, TN31 6YD. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available for download. The organiser lists race features such as picturesque scenery, quiet roads, and local support. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs, trophies and prizes for leading runners, and free parking.
On-the-day entry fees are shown as 10 Mile £35 and 5 Mile £30, subject to availability. Event information will be sent to registered entrants before race day.
Travel notes state the nearest train station is Rye (Sussex). There is no bus service to Peasmarsh on Sundays, so competitors arriving by train will need to arrange onward travel from Rye station. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
