About the race
The Rye Summer Classic Series is a four-race running event held at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in East Sussex, offering 10k, 5k, and junior runs. Set in a stunning coastal conservation area featuring shingle ridges, saltmarsh, reed-beds, and saline lagoons, the course is flat, fast, and primarily on tarmac, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced runners. The series takes place on the first Friday of June, July, August, and September, with a friendly atmosphere and the potential for quick times depending on weather conditions.
