Runway 5K - Run for the Angels
Runway 5K - Run for the Angels is a benefit 5K supporting Angel Flight West. The event includes an in person 5K at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, 11001 Control Tower Road, Broomfield, CO 80021, US, and a virtual 5K that can be completed anywhere.
In person participants receive a race t-shirt and a commemorative flight pin. Virtual participants receive a commemorative flight pin by mail and will not receive a t-shirt. The organizer describes an aviation-specific virtual option for pilots to log required takeoffs and landings as part of the virtual 5K.
Registration fees listed for the event are: adults $40 for in person and $25 for virtual; kids under 13 $10 for both in person and virtual; a kids fun run is free; seniors 60+ are $25 for both options. Registrations submitted by September 4 are noted to guarantee a shirt in the chosen size and a flight pin; registrations after that date may still receive a pin but shirts may not be guaranteed due to production times.
