Runway 5K at Memphis International Airport
Runway 5K at Memphis International Airport is scheduled for September 19, 2026, at Memphis International Airport in Memphis, Tennessee. The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) hosts the event as its 2nd Annual MEM Runway 5K.
The course runs on one of the airport runways, providing close-up views of aircraft landing and taking off and access to airport grounds not normally open to the public. The airport served nearly 5 million passengers in 2025 and is noted as one of the busiest cargo airports in the world.
Registration rules and race services are specified in advance. There will be no day-of-event registration and no spectator area; only registered attendees will be admitted for security reasons. All attendees aged 3 and older must register; children aged 2 and under may enter without registration if accompanied by a registered guest. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult. Registration closes on September 13 at midnight. Race participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal.
Proceeds support the Memphis International Airport Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on civic engagement, education, sustainability, health, and community-supporting initiatives.
