Runway 5k - Gastonia
The Runway 5k takes place at the Gastonia Municipal Airport in North Carolina. This event features a specific course layout where participants move directly on the aviation infrastructure. The race follows a USATF certified course that both begins and ends on the airport runway.
Participants have a maximum of one hour to complete the 3.1 mile (5k) distance due to federal aviation regulations regarding runway closures. All finishers receive a medal upon crossing the line.
