Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k
The Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k takes place at Carsington Water in Derbyshire. The event features two distinct distances:
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
The courses consist of undulating trail paths that circumnavigate the reservoir, providing views of the surrounding countryside. The 10 km route covers almost one full loop of the water. The Half Marathon route is designed as an out and back section followed by one complete loop of the reservoir.
Each kilometre along the route is accurately marked. Participants receive a themed medal, water, and post-race refreshments as part of the entry fee. An event t-shirt featuring the race logo is also available for purchase. The race is organized by RunThrough and is supported by a team of volunteers who manage the event village and the finish line area.
The venue is located at Big Lane, Ashbourne, and utilizes the trail network around the water. GPX files are available for runners to review the specific terrain of both the loop and the out and back sections before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
