Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k : 17 October 2026
The event takes place at Carsington Water on Saturday 17th October 2026 and offers trail running around the reservoir on undulating paths with countryside views. Distances available:
- Half Marathon: out and back then one full loop of the reservoir
- 10k: almost one full loop of the reservoir
Each kilometre on the courses is accurately marked. The route is signed with trail flags and A5 arrows, and marshals are stationed along the course to guide and encourage runners. GPX files for both the half marathon and the 10k are provided for download.
Entries include a themed medal, water and post race goodies. An event village provides food and drink options and free items from event partners at the finish. An event t-shirt is offered at a discounted price when purchased as part of entry.
The organiser runs a volunteer programme for tasks such as managing stalls and handing out medals. The organiser has also been researching sustainability and has measures in place related to that work.
