Jackalope Trail Run

The Jackalope Trail Run is the second race in the Wild Thangs Trail Series, held at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL. The event offers two trail distances and is capped at 400 runners. Registration closes on July 8.

Course features include bluff views, creek crossings, waterfalls, and spectator friendly routing. Several aid stations are available on course offering water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, M&M's, granola bars and similar items. This is a cupless race; runners must carry a handheld bottle, pack, or reusable cup. A RunningLane reusable cup is available for purchase at checkout.

All participants in the Jackalope distances receive a short sleeve tri blend race shirt and a finisher award. Packet pickup is available at the RunningLane store the day before the race and packets may also be picked up the morning of the race. Age groups apply for awards across standard ranges from 0 to 70 plus.

Organizers note there will be very loose time cutoffs and suggest that runners who cannot maintain roughly 15 minute miles consider the shorter series options. Long Series participants face a 17 minute per mile cutoff. There are no refunds, deferrals, credits, or transfers, and leftover shirts or medals are not mailed.
