Event Overview
The Big Foot Trail Run is the first race in the four-part Wild Thangs Trail Series. The event takes place in Huntsville, Alabama, and offers two distances: a 5K and a 10K.
The Course
The trail courses are described as spectator-friendly and feature several bluff views, mountain scenery, creek crossings, and waterfalls. The event is a "cupless" race, meaning participants must provide their own handheld bottle, pack, or reusable cup, as no disposable cups are available at aid stations. Several aid stations on the course will provide water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, m&m's, and granola bars.
Registration and Series Details
Registration for the individual event is capped at 400 runners. Participants can register for the entire Wild Thangs Trail Series, which includes four races from June through August, offering different distances at each event. Signing up for the full series provides a discount and includes a series t-shirt, finisher awards, and a series plaque. All participants in the Big Foot Trail Run will receive a t-shirt and a finisher award.
