Big Foot Trail Run
The Big Foot Trail Run is a trail race in Huntsville, AL, held at 5105 Nolen Ave SE as the opening event of the Wild Thangs Trail Series. The event offers the following distances:

- 10K
The course is described as spectator friendly with bluff views, creek crossings, waterfalls and mountain scenery. Several aid stations are placed on course providing water, Gatorade, coke, GU, pretzels, M&M's and granola bars. The event is cupless; participants must carry a handheld bottle, pack or reusable cup. A RunningLane reusable cup is available for purchase at registration for five dollars.
All entrants in the Big Foot race receive a short sleeve tri-blend race shirt and a finisher award. The race is capped at 400 runners. Packet pickup for this race is scheduled on the day before the event at the RunningLane store; same-day pickup is also available at the race venue.
This race is the first of four events in the Wild Thangs Trail Series, which runs June through August and includes shorter and longer distance options across the series. Age group categories for all races are 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus. Organizers state there are very loose cutoffs and a 17 minute per mile cutoff applies for Long Series participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
