Running with the Bulls - Alaska
Running with the Bulls is an annual fundraiser held at a farm in Palmer, Alaska. The course runs through pastures and past a herd of over 70 musk oxen, and it routes participants onto sections of the farm that are not normally open to the public. The route is entirely unpaved and includes hilly sections; the difficulty ranges from moderate to challenging depending on the distance chosen and individual goals.
Distances offered include:
- 1K Kid's Fun Run (ages 0-7)
- 5K Run or Walk, youth and adult categories
- 10K Run, youth and adult categories
- Virtual 5K and 10K options
Registration opens on January 1, 2025. The registration fee covers access to the course on race day and a race t-shirt; proceeds support event costs and fundraising for the nonprofit organization that runs the event. Light snacks are provided for in-person participants. Virtual participants may complete a 5K or 10K by running, walking, biking, hiking, swimming, or other activity, and virtual registration includes cost of the shirt and shipping. Participants can choose to share progress with other virtual racers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
