Running Wild 5K Run and 3K Wacky Scavenger Hunt Walk
This event takes place at St. Patrick's County Park in South Bend, Indiana. It offers two course options over park trails, open fields, park roads, grass, and gravel. The 5K is chip-timed using disposable chips; the 3K walk is not timed.

Course conditions include unmarked tree roots, loose gravel, ruts, and areas that may be muddy or slick; participants are advised to watch their footing. Dogs are allowed on the 3K walk when leashed to a 6 ft. lead; walkers with leashed dogs will start at the back.
Awards and finisher items are provided. The top three male and female finishers in each 5K age category receive a custom medal and local maple syrup. Overall and masters winners receive additional medals. All 3K participants receive a Certificate of Completion and a handcrafted participation medallion; children may pick a nature prize. A collectible hand-crafted medallion featuring the animal of the year will be available to registered participants while supplies last.
Food and refreshments are available after the events, including an egg bake, fruit, and granola cookies. Water refill stations and bottled water are provided. T-shirts are available for an extra fee if ordered by the stated deadline. Proceeds benefit park facilities, programs, and school bus transportation to the parks.
